Little Women Learning Extension
Little Women Learning Extension
This is an optional class for students who missed our Little Women party last week or who want an extra opportunity to practice their English reading, listening, and speaking skills.
We will study an article about why Little Women has remained so popular for more than 150 years. We will also play games to help strengthen vocabulary and reading comprehension skills. You're encouraged to complete as many of the exercises as you can prior to coming to class.

Women on the Westward Journey: Part I
Women on the Westward Journey: Part I
As our most advanced students, you are invited to serve as ambassadors at our annual Frisco ESL registration event. Responsibilities will include the following:
1. Welcome new students as they arrive.
2. Visit with them and help them feel comfortable.
3. Tell them about your ESL experiences.
4. Answer their questions about the program.
5. Help assess their English level so they can be placed in the correct classes.
When we are not helping with registration, we will study “Women and the Westward Movement.” In this lesson, we will practice two different reading comprehension strategies. We will also learn a bunch of new vocabulary words and will review past simple and past continuous verb tenses, all while playing the game “Oregon Trail.”
